“The first foreign subsidiary was our Canadian operation, which started in Peterborough, Ontario, and made sophisticated check-out counters,” says Nick Kakarelis, Strategic Business Unit Director at Halton Indoor Climate Systems, Ltd., which entered Canada in 1978. Halton’s LEED Eligible Ventilation Solutions for the food service industry include innovative products which not only meet but often exceed the existing requirements for current energy standards in commercial and institutional kitchens. To this end, its HVAC systems are designed and built to be as energy efficient as possible, improving indoor air quality and often enhancing productivity.
